Dawn in Kenner
I'm smiling.
Stan Getz and Jobim's Desafinado swings me a little.
Showered early on Sunday, I thought we're goin to the church today but apparently she's not awake.
Taking my time sitting here, typing, gathering some thoughts.
Unfortunately no hot chocolate is a friend now.
Blaming on my sister who gave me puppies pictures, I dreamed of a cute white puppy this morning, before again, the alarm chase the dream away.
I think I miss Snoozy.
Gonna go back to Wisconsin in a month or so, won't be in this room anymore then for good.
Wondering where my life would take me. (hint : maybe Indy? Hahahaha...)
Pondering...
those conversations and laughter and sharing and caring and good times (these makes my life in the recent years flew just like that),
will their meaning last forever or will I forget them when I'm 70?
will I still remember when I turn 40?
multi-faceted life : good people come and go
Suddenly cut that thread of thoughts; these are too early in the beginning of the day :)
Glancing at Calyce, she's still mute there, can't blow her yet.
Lately she's been my sunshine.
Then glancing at the "Four Seasons in Rome", which I started reading yesterday.
So far nothing much more than a family which tries to cope itself upon moving to Rome, but every single person who tries living out of home country is striving the same thing; nothing special about it that we make a book out of it. If it's an eye-opener that the world rotates in a certain different way outside the great Uncle Sam, good for them.
Why do I read it anyway then? I wanna see daily life in Rome, what the family observes by living there. I wanna know what Romans think are important or not. The family's amazement is my gain. Remembering again how ignorant Americans can be in their home country, I could not care less about the family's effort to survive Rome.
Dunno too, maybe I'm still in the early part of the book, where they just move in. Hope it improves later. A nice companion when I'm tired with the Iliad (come on, it's like fightin continuously the whole day, even the reader has to take a break :) ).
Looking thru my blinds again, the king of the day is up there in the sky. Believe it or not, I think señor sol is smiling.
My tiny belly growls. Did I eat yester-nite?
OMG I'm out of milk, how can I eat my Fruit Loops then?
Remembering Fruit Loops is remembering my mom. That's the first cereal she bought when I was so little. I never consider Fruit Loops same as other brands since then (other than the fact that I like their colorfulness).
Thinkin about my parents, my dad is having his bday today. Wished him happy bday.
The news they told me back overwhelmed me though. The parents of this traveling gurl will have their own journey at the end of the year.
So jealous coz I have to work. No travelling. I wish I could join them though.
Reminded them that winter can be cold, so they need to prepare accordingly.
Reminiscing... when we travelled together...
Wew... loadsa things in my train o' thought this morning; All in a blink of an eye.
Need.to.stop.thinking.
