The Illinis are down south!

Last weekend, friends of my roomie came from U of I Urbana-Champagne to spend first coupla days of Thxgivin Holiday in Louisiana. They are Indo, Malaysian, and Filipino. Temen chatting gw : "Gimana? KTT ASEAN masi arisan tempat loe??" SIAL LOE, kurang ajar!!! hahahahahahaha... Yaaah mereka emank nebeng tempat gw.

Anyway, we hit New Orleans. We hit Jambalaya, Gumbos, Beignets in Cafe du Monde, Muffuleta, Po-Boys, Hand Grenade (at least I did) ;p on Bourbon Street, Boiled Creole Shrimp (with hands!), Boiled Crawfish (the season starts already! Yipee!), Raw oysters (they are good!), Bread Pudding, Good seafood platters, OMG LIFE IS SO GOOD! hahahahaha... Cholesterol watch!! (Sigh...)

Anyway, one of them asked "Is anybody hiring anywhere here in New Orleans? We wanna stay here so very bad! We love the foods!" HAHAHAHA... Yeah I have to admit we ate very very good foods... It was a good culinary trip... Good times, good times...

Anyway, yeaah, these are the pictures. (I hate the resolution though, it's because the place where I upload 'em).

The picture says it all. Let the fun begin! ;)

A Live Jazz Bar on Bourbon St.

When Purchasing the Hand Grenade. It says : "The Hand Grenade is a powerful & Unique blend of melon flavored concentrate & fantastic spirits that will blow you away. The secret is patented by the U.S Government & trademarked in all 50 states so please don't ask the bartender what is in your hand grenade." HAHAHAHAHA... Very well said. So I did what it says, I didn't ask and just drank! ;) Tastes good btw.

My First Hand Grenade ever. Don't ask me how I can finish it by myself. It was something, really...

The girls are on Calle de Borbon! That's me with my green Hand Grenade! So proud of myself, I took it like a man!

Hahahaha... Does it come in a To-Go-Cup, too?! Watcha lookin at?

With the Hand Grenade man

A musical side of New Orleans.

Finished with Beignets in Cafe du Monde, French Quarter. We love it!

The girls and the city. Canal St.

Trem we took.

Not brave enough to make "Before and After" kinda picture. Just imagine. They taste good!!

The Greater New Orleans Bridge at nite.

The Greater New Orleans Bridge, it's so gorgeous!

Will definitely miss the good foods when back in WI.
