First Thingy
I didn't go to the church today, but something so fun happened today. I happened to learn Foxtrot and QuickStep (which happens to be quite similar with Foxtrot) in a summer mini course. All songs were Sinatra's. There were Fly Me To the Moon I always like, and New York New York. Hahaha, it was supeeer fun to sing along with 'em. We danced in the Great Hall of Memorial Union, which happened to be on of the largest dance floors in MidWest. What a surprising fact. Nice.
Christine Stickland is the name. She has been teaching ballroom dancing for 11-12 years. She is funny and relaxing. I like the way she says things, making me feel that I'm not the only unexperienced (read : stupid and can't learn any further) one and there's still a lot of spaces to fill in if I wanna learn. She has numbers of Sinatra's collection. Kewl.
Well, it did take some time for me to get the feeling and things, but I tried my best to get it. Far far far away from 'good', but as long as it's fun, it's good for me. :) Remembering how I'm so involved in music most of my life, I really am amazed that I never touched this section of beautiful and fun art. Where the heck have I been? You missed the great part, dude! Can't believe you missed this very close sister of music.
I feel pity to my partner, hahaha... (I know you're reading this). Though I didn't step on yer toes, I am maybe the most stiff partner you ever have. Hahaha... Sorry, you know I'm super amateur here. I also know that you already have these stuffs, so I really really hope you did have fun, or I'll feel even worse. (read : I force you, hahaha, just kiddn'). And btw, still remember what he told me about you : "He seems to know what he's doin, he's good." Hahaha, keep yer feet on the ground, you young man! Hahaha... But I must admit, if you weren't my partner (some other guy who really never danced before), maybe I couldn't have that much fun, not knowing if what I was doin rite or just circling doin some non-shaped-movements, or just stepped on each others' toes, etc (you can imagine other terrible things). We rocked (compared to others), and sadly, I must admit it's because of you. Hahaha... Anyways, thank you, Reg, a lot.
Anyways, I do feel better now, because I keep hopin it will be the start of my life's improvement. Well yea, I'll wait for others to come.
