The Comic

In our living place, wherever it is, you can start seeing things. You can see the steels (the one always serious and cold), the woods (the one always being flexible and so then outgoing), the rivers (always flow along the situation), the tigers (always brave and never waste chances), the books (know everything), the fires (temperament ones), the thumbs (can be trusted and relied on), the candies (always being nice), the lights (being warm), the magazines (Ms. or Mr. Gossip)and so many other thes. These are things we can say have major similarities with people's major characteristics.

I can find that I am the comic. Geez, what is the comic?
When I was in senior high school, some of my friends said that I was so comical. I didn't quite understand the meaning. Why not novels? Comic sounds so immature and not serious! I liked reading novels, they are so time-absorbing, I always put anything behind once I read it. Time, my meals, and so on. Well, so why not novels?

I like buying and reading comics. It was the first Asterix comic book I have. Goscinny & Uderzo are the authors. The comic was wonderfully fantastic and the jokes are so stupid that I can fall for them again and again. The first page was so surprising for me. It says there that Comic is actually the power to make someone laugh. Really?

I looked back and I could see that I did have some stories that I believe not all people would ever get. Even one of my friends just said it. "Elka, really, I have never seen anything like you got. They are just too funny" Well, some of them are just so stupid. There are times I'll always remember, ones I could even laugh all over again just by thinking about them. I know there has been too much stupid things, I even start thinking it's part of my karma or something. I never think I was that bad to anybody. Well sometimes I am happy with this because I am not only the comic, but also the rainbow, the colorful one among the others. My life can really be a whole rollercoaster ride, with ups and downs, one just after the other. The comic also keeps its childish side rooted within itself, just like I always do all the time. I don't wanna loose it, I treasure it. Comics don't grow old, so do I (I hope).

But now after realizing that I trully am the comic (and all of those too much troubles (sometimes vital ones) it brings to me), I start being tired of things happening to me! Sometimes they are so entertaining and relaxing, but sometimes I almost lose important stuffs because of these silly things. People say,"Things do happen... Calm down...", but why am I their favorite? They choose me abundantly! I don't want to do silly mistakes anymore cause no matter how hillarious they are, mistakes are just mistakes.

Tired little girl... That's all I am. But I can't do anything about this, because I am the comic. I have to make others laugh, rite? At least, I have to smile to make others smile. I am just a tired little comic girl.
