Impersonalization

Seing whatever people (both other and self) really are is sometimes hard. I can see people wearing masks everyday in the way they smile, in the way they talk, in the way they eat and in the way they walk. Sometimes they can even alter their taste and emotions. Is it that important to change yourself into something not so you? Or in the other way, is it too difficult for people to stay being theirselves so that they have to change?

I am easily influenced by people in certain things, but I give my freedom a large credit. I don't wanna be string-attached by anything causing me facing any discomfort, including trying to be else than me myself. I believe I only can enjoy that little 'seek and hide' game for a small amount of time, then I will regret it. For me, life is about expressing myself, being whatever I am and getting as personalized as I can. I may have my long term goal, my temporary wants, or my responsibilities but I let nothing keep me away from being me.

I am...
- a hardly mature girl with thousands of random thoughts in my mind. I deal with it.
- a person who has quite a different opinion about what makes a person happy. I deal with it.
- a big eater and stubborn. I deal with it.
- a very nervous girl with 'less than other people's' preparation period. I deal with it.
- someone who stays conventional in several things. I deal with it.
- a person who sometimes has a 'way too unique' taste. I deal with it.
- a carefree loner. I deal with it.

True, that we're living in a society, where we have to adjust to work things out, but can we do whatever we have to do with our real identity? It is easy to control yourselves, 'yourselves' as in whatever you chose to be, but controlling the real you may be a lot harder. Does a change always have to be the answer, to let our real personality go away? Then the most important emerging problem won't be about 'how we adapt?' anymore, but 'who are we?'

I deal with whatever I am and dare to try to control my real me. Can you?
