The key to life
Yet, a life is a life because there are things to it, other elements contributing to the ups and downs. Long story short, Sadness, is one of key of life. Saying goodbye with glassy-eyes is a part of it. Reminiscing how close we can become to people surrounding us, is also a part of it. How hard it is to part with things you just learn to be dear to you, is also another part of it. Leaving without knowing when to come back and see them, is also a damn part of it.
To 'sadness caused by knowing that Lou, the Taxi guy, will never wait for me anymore around 7:40 am at Gate 11 to bring me to my beloved unit', I say "cheers, welcome and fill my life."
To 'sadness caused by knowing not be able to chat and to laugh and to plan some prank to Chris' office with Pat anymore', I say "cheers, welcome and fill my life."
To 'sadness caused by not being able to share excitement for music with my fave technician Jason', I say "cheers, welcome and fill my life."
To 'sadness caused by becoming unable to listen to Johnny Please's golden voice (and Chris' super-awful-failing-seriosa-styled-singing) and Johnny Please's talent to imitate everybody even me', I say "cheers, welcome and fill my life."
To 'sadness caused by listening that my mentors and supervisor say "You're bright. Just keep doing what you're doin. You'll do fine. We wish you luck. Goodbye"', I say "cheers, welcome and fill my life."
To 'sadness caused by not living in the room I'm typing this in anymore in just about 36 hours', I say "cheers, welcome and fill my life."
To 'sadness caused by not being able to joke around with the crazy technicians and taste their excellent dishes anymore, regardless how weird things they fed me with are', I say "cheers, welcome and fill my life."
To 'sadness caused by parting with my loyal roommate, D, for these coupla months and his erratic boyfriend', I say "cheers, welcome and fill my life."
I leave with mixed feelings. Tomorrow is my last day at work and I'll leave Louisiana for good the day after tomorrow. A portion of me will always remember Louisiana, dearly. Thank you all. It's been definitely MY pleasure to have the opportunity.
Goodbye Monsanto, goodbye PCl3.
