IC Retreat, Spring Break 2007
Have been needing this. Had too much to think about, but also had too much to avoid to think about for the sake of living a normal life. Then it was the time to make myself to go through all over again, for self healing. Painful but somehow more bearable. The burden has been around and I had been too tired to even took a quick glance at them. Life is so fast-paced that hardly had time to stop and sit and think and remember. Subconsciously continuously torturing. Then there was this real time to bravely face the forgotten pain, to touch every single open-wound, to feel and to try slowly to understand why. Sharing was a partial liberation. At last had a small luxurious chance to taste how being relaxed is again, having (close to) nothing to worry about. Don't turn out to be problem-free, don't have less to carry on my shoulder, but be more aware. Knowing not alone all these times, reminding self that those footprints were ever there. That's what I call a fault-free assurance.
Other than that, it's always nice to know more about people around me. There were more things happening, which was good. I think I got the senior syndrome, hehehe... There were Taboo (as always) with its "Rocky Mountains", "Gajah" and the stupid me, and just all the smiles whenever taking pictures, messages in the bottle; all do matter to me.
About those messages, I've gotten ones that are really heart-warming. Thanking the people who wrote to me whole-heartedly. Also, thank's for the retreat committee that prepared so that we are able to have such pretty jars to keep the messages. Great messages in great containers.
IC retreat 2007, I call it an event, a special time I usually don't always have, to think again and to reconsider.
